FULL TIME POSITION:
*$15,000 SIGN ON BONUS TO ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES*
JOB SUMMARY: Assesses the patient preoperatively. Reviews the health status of the patient and pending procedure and signs the pre-op surgical assessment check list. Properly communicates the necessary data to the appropriate individuals.
- Plans patient care – Sets priorities for nursing action in a logical sequence according to patient’s needs following established physician’s preference file and by direct communication with surgeon or anesthesiologist.
- Documents patient care – Documentation reflects patients status throughout perioperative process. Documentation reflects nursing intervention and patient’s response (when applicable). Documentation reflects patient’s needs, problems, and outcomes.
- Instructs patient and family – Instructs patient and family of appropriate information concerning where to wait, available facilities.
- Assesses and provides intervention for specific patient populations (i.e., pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; registered and licensed
Licensure: RN/LPN
Experience: Experience is preferred, however will provide on the job training. Full-time staff nurse must be ACLS and PALS Certified.
