Sweetwater Hospital Association is pleased to welcome Family Nurse Practitioner Erica Long. Erica has dedicated 25 years to Sweetwater Hospital Association, building a distinguished career in patient care, clinical excellence, and professional growth. She began her journey in 1999 as a nurse tech on the medical/surgical floor, where she developed a strong foundation for hands-on patient care. After obtaining her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from Lincoln Memorial University in 2000, she advanced into a registered nursing role and began working in the Obstetrical Department, where she gained extensive experience in maternal and newborn care.
Her passion for nursing and commitment to lifelong learning led her to further her education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capella University in 2015. Determined to expand her clinical expertise, she pursued and completed her Master’s degree in Nursing from Maryville University, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, in 2018. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and continues to strive for excellence in patient-centered care. She is furthering her knowledge and leadership abilities by pursuing a Doctorate degree in Nursing, solidifying her dedication to advancing healthcare practices and improving patient outcomes.
Throughout her career, Erica has consistently demonstrated a commitment to high-quality patient care, professional leadership, and continuous education. She remains passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of patients while contributing to the evolution of healthcare practices.
