RN – Medical/Surgical Dept.

POSITION:                 RN – Medical/Surgical Dept.

HOURS:                      Full-Time Day Shift (7 am – 7 pm)

JOB SUMMARY

  • Provide direct care to patients according to age continuum accurately.
  • Assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning and implementation of the plan of care is family-centered, age appropriate and culturally relevant, and individualized to the patient needs.
  • Identify specific care problems that effect growth and development.
  • Collaborate with members of the multi – disciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementation and evaluating health care delivery.
  • Record observation, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures multi – systems monitoring data, and other data relevant to the patient’s care in a retrievable form.
  • Initiate treatments, medications, emergency and resuscitative measures based on appropriate utilization of hospital and nationally accepted protocols.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure as an RN in Tennessee or compact state.LS, ACLS and PALS certification, or obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Prior experience in hospital nursing preferred.
  • Must exhibit excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, visitors and fellow employees.
  • Able to assess patients vital signs, condition, recognizing need for intervention.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, transfer, transport or re-position patients with assistance.
  • Must be able to work as a team member as well as independently while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Laboratory Manager

POSITION:                 Laboratory Manager

HOURS:                      Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for the overall operations, compliance and administration of the clinical laboratory department and acts as a liaison to regulatory and accrediting agencies.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Responsible for employment of competent and qualified personnel to perform assigned duties.
  • Responsible for assuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Oversees and supports the technical and administrative operations of the Laboratory, to include employee oversight and staffing, regulatory compliance, quality and PI activities, problem resolution, compliance, and other areas as assigned.
  • Reviews, evaluates and monitors quality control programs of the laboratory, including proficiency testing.
  • Ensure that the conditions of the laboratory are appropriate for the tests performed. Provides a safe environment in which employees are protected from physical, chemical, and biologic hazards.
  • Reviews procedures and manuals annually to ensure current information to perform testing.
  • Ensure that verification procedures used are adequate to determine accuracy, precision and other pertinent performance characteristics.
  • Ensure that laboratory personnel are performing the test methods as required for accurate and reliable results.
  • Evaluate the laboratory’s performance and identify any problem that requires corrective action.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in medical technology, chemical, physical, or biological science required.
  • EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years management experience in a clinical laboratory required.
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Medical Technologist license required. Tennessee State supervisor license required. ASCP or ASCLS (or equivalent) certification required.

Controller

POSITION:                 Controller

HOURS:                      Full-Time Day Shift (7 am – 7 pm)

JOB SUMMARY

The Controller is responsible for the day to day management of the Accounting, Payroll and Accounts Payable functions.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Compiles and prepares financial statements.
  • Gathers, processes, analyzes, and evaluates financial data.
  • Maintains the integrity of the financial accounting system and produces reports for management use.
  • Oversees all accounting transactions related to the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing and fixed assets.
  • Provides oversight of the organization’s internal control structure.
  • Provides oversight of the accounting department policies and procedures to ensure the safeguarding of assets and accurate financial reporting.
  • Reviews and analyzes general ledger account balances. Verifies accuracy and makes recommendations for corrections.
  • Manages department costs in adherence to budget standards.
  • Compiles information for Joint Annual Report
  • Prepares payroll quarterly/yearly reports including W-2’s & 1099’s
  • Prepares documentation for External Auditors.
  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or other related field required.
  • EXPERIENCE: Two year accounting experience with prior healthcare and management experience preferred.

HOURS:                      Full-Time-Various Shifts

JOB SUMMARY

  • Provides basic patient care on the age continuum including hygiene, preventive skin care, incontinence care, feeding, mobility, safety measures, vital signs, heights, weights, proper documentation.
  • Reports findings to primary nurse and or charge nurse.
  • Performs treatments as directed and or assigned.
  • Primarily responsible for transport of patients.
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety of patients equipment, and confidentiality in regard to patient care, information and chart contents.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate from High School or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a vocational training program is as asset, but can be trained on the job. Up to one (1) month of on-the-job training and experience is normally required for satisfactory performance on this job.
  • Communication skills sufficient to report activities and deviations from normal to abnormal.
  • Ability to interact with patients and families.

Medical Laboratory Technician

POSITION:                 Medical Laboratory Technician

HOURS:                      Full-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

  • Performs common testing procedures and reports test results.
  • Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Performs quality control testing.
  • Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests.
  • Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
  • Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
  • Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.
  • Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of a Registered Medical Laboratory Technician Program.
  • Must have a valid Technicians license under the Laboratory Licensing Law of the State of Tennessee.
  • Must be a Registered Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
