Dietary Aide

Position Overview:

The Dietary Aide will be responsible for supporting the dietary department in preparing and delivering food for patients, cafeteria service, and meal setup/cleanup. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage food trays for regular and modified diets. A key part of the position is ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment while maintaining excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

  • Previous experience is preferred, but training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble trays for regular and modified diets, ensuring age-appropriate adjustments are made.
  • Deliver trays promptly to serving areas or patient care areas and return trays for cleaning.
  • Prepare and serve nourishment for between-meal feedings for both regular and modified diets.
  • Assist in setting up and serving food in the dining room.
  • Help with meal setup, cleanup, and ensuring the cafeteria service runs smoothly.
  • Operate departmental equipment efficiently.
  • Use a computer and cash register to assist with ordering and customer transactions.
