LPN: CLINIC NURSE
FULL TIME
The Licensed Practical Nurse coordinates and provides patient care in the clinic setting.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires current LPN licensure in the State of Tennessee.
- Previous experience preferred by not required.
- Must be able to work as a team member as well as independently while maintaining patient confidentiality
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Triage patients and assessment of patients; familiar with all stages of growth and development, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatrics.
- Administering medications, understanding proper dosage including oral, parenteral, and intravenous.
- Documentation of pertinent information on patient chart, reporting changes in patients’ conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.
- Stabilization of urgent and emergent care needs.
- Demonstrates ability to implement approved protocols for patient care.
- Prepares the patient and performs EKG and/or initiates continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Identified health education needs for patient and communicates plan of care with patient and family.
- Performs lab work as ordered collection of blood, urine, finger stick and swabbed specimens.
- Facilitates and maintains working atmosphere and environment conductive to communication and cooperation and all states of growth and development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
