Job Description:
The Laboratory Technician performs regular routine work in various sections of the Laboratory. Performs assigned work promptly and accurately. Should be sure that Quality Control Criteria are met before reports are issued, and immediately repeat any procedure which appears to be out of control. This position is a 12 hour shift, 7:00am to 7:00pm.
Education:
• Graduate of a Registered Medical Laboratory Technician Program
Licensure:
• Must have a valid Technicians license under the Laboratory Licensing Law of the State of Tennessee. He/she will also have to satisfy qualifications of a technician as defined in the Medicare Act.
Experience:
• Must be a Registered Medical Laboratory Technician.
Job Knowledge and Skills:
•Must possess ability and skill to provide care and/or treatment to all patients from newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatrics.
