Externships:
Must be finished with first year of ADN nursing program or Junior year or BSN nursing program.
Must provide transcripts.
Paired with a nurse to assist with assessments, patient education, admission and discharge information and teaching, wound care, vital signs, specimen collection, etc.
Available in ER, L&D, Nursery, Med/Surg, Surgery, and ICU.
Internships:
Due to Executive Orders 36 ,50, and 59: Applicants graduating on or after December 1, 2019 can practice their nursing skills while under the supervision of an RN. This allows our nursing graduates to practice prior to their NCLEX and obtaining their licensure. This can start after graduation from nursing school and the intern will start on Med/Surg to obtain their foundation of nursing prior to starting in a specialty area (ER, ICU, etc.)
