Job Posting: Externships and Internships at Sweetwater Hospital
Externships:
- Eligibility: Must have completed the first year of an ADN nursing program or the Junior year of a BSN nursing program.
- Requirements: Applicants must provide official transcripts.
- Job Description: As an extern, you will be paired with a nurse and assist in various clinical tasks including:
- Patient assessments
- Patient education
- Admission and discharge processes
- Wound care
- Vital signs
- Specimen collection
- And more…
- Available Areas: ER, L&D, Nursery, Med/Surg, Surgery, and ICU.
Internships:
- Eligibility: Due to Executive Orders 36, 50, and 59, applicants graduating on or after December 1, 2019, are eligible to practice their nursing skills under the supervision of an RN before obtaining their NCLEX and licensure.
- Job Description: Interns will begin in Med/Surg to build a strong foundation of nursing before transitioning to specialty areas such as ER, ICU, and others.
