Patient Care Tech – Emergency Department
JOB SUMMARY
- Maintains Required Licensure/ Certification (CPR)
- Completes Patient Assessment and Develops an appropriately prioritized Plan of Care
- Makes Walking Rounds and Appropriately Gives Shift Report
- Identifies Patients at High Risk for Falls
- Assists with admissions and interviews
- Cleans room as soon as patient is discharged.
- Performs blood, urine, and sputum collections.
- Communicates effectively with other staff, departments, shift, patients, families and visitors to keep the patients informed of plan of care.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from High School or equivalent preferred
Licensure: None
Experience: Graduate of a vocational training program is an asset but can be trained on the job. Up to one (1) month on the job training and experience is normally required for satisfactory performance on this job.
