Position Overview:

Sweetwater Hospital’s nursing staff implements a family-centered, age-appropriate, and culturally relevant plan of care. FULL-TIME SHIFTS:

  • Full-Time: 7AM-7PM
  • Full-Time: 7PM-7AM

POSITION SUMMARY:

Sweetwater Hospital Association is seeking enthusiastic team members to join our Nursing Department. We take pride in being community-driven, independently owned, and operated. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current license issued by the Tennessee State Board of Nursing
  • Experience is preferred
  • ACLS and PALS Certification preferred

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • The RN is responsible for delegating, coordinating, and managing all aspects of nursing care and services provided to the patient and family in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and respectful manner.
  • Implements and documents patient/family education to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Consistently demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skills for the identified patient population. Planning and implementation of the nursing process are based on the nurse’s knowledge of developmental stages.
  • Assesses and determines the plan of care based on individualized physical, psycho-social, and socio-cultural needs, as well as other factors influencing patient care from admission through discharge.
  • Supervises and evaluates work performance in relation to patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
  • Demonstrates awareness of suspected abuse/neglect and takes measures to report them according to protocols.
  • Administers medication appropriately, including oral, parenteral, and intravenous, and demonstrates knowledge of special needs and measures for medication administration.
  • Implements and documents patient/family education to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Assists in the planned orientation of nursing personnel, teaching, and directing ancillary workers.
  • Facilitates and maintains a working environment conducive to communication and collaboration.
